I love shopping – Evening markets in Cervia
Finally the month of May is here! Sure, I’m super happy that the summer season is finally kicking off. And yes, it’s really great that the temperatures are higher and the evenings are getting longer each day. But most of all I’m happy that we’ve finally hit May because the evening markets in Cervia & Milano Marittima have begun!
Do you like going to the weekly market in the city where you live? I like it a lot. But given the fact that the weekly markets is on Thursday mornings in Cervia I don’t get to go that often because of work. Maybe it’s better that way since I’m really good at spending money. But I wouldn’t mind going for a stroll amongst the market stands every now and then.
You can imagine my joy now that the month of May is here and the evening markets begin in Cervia & Milano Marittima!
In Milano Marittima, along the canal just north of the center, on Monday evening I start. At this market I have found my official stand where I always buy scarves and leather bags, purses etc. They have such great stuff! And as I’m already in Milano Marittima after work it really comes in handy.
The night after, on Tuesday, I go to the evening market in Pinarella together with my mother (when she’s in Italy to visit) as this is her favorite market. Every time we leave with numerous bags, full of shopping items. A few years ago, when my kids weren’t yet too embarrassed to be seen around town with their mom, they went for some snacks and then to the arcades (attached to the market, really convenient), while me and granny shopped our hearts out. At this market I buy swimsuits and lingerie.
On Friday evening, in V.le Roma, it’s not that much about the shopping but more about looking at people, chatting with my girlfriends, preferably with a glass of wine in my hand. The bar “Pic-Nic” and the new pub “Calici & Boccali” (run by former Majestic personnel) you can get an excellent “aperitivo”.
Maybe you’ll pay a visit to the Thursday morning market while on vacation in Milano Marittima, and you know what? I don’t blame you! It’s a really great market, big and something for everyone. But if you happen to go to one of the evening markets in Milano Marittima, Cervia or in Pinarella, I’m sure we’ll run into each other. Buon Shopping!
